Tax Churches and be ready to pay for Prayers – Rev Abraham Lamptey warns

The Founder and General Overseer of Believer’s House of Worship International and Abraham Lamptey Ministry is warning that taxing churches would mean that churches should also start providing Ministry at a fee.

The seasoned televangelist was in an interview with Caleb Nii Boye when the question of taxing churches came up.

Many individuals have argued for taxing them because of the boom in megachurches in recent times.

The man of God, in response, warned that taxing churches would mean that the ministry and prayers that churches offer would also come with a fee.

He said: “If you are taxing churches then make sure that if you are coming to pastor to pray for you then he should tell you the tax you should pay.”

Rev Lamptey pointed out the services churches have provide to the needy and to society with no fee involved. He added that if the churches were taxed, it would mean returning those acts of kindness to the church.

He told Caleb that: “If you want to tax Churches then give back all the schools you have taken from them. You didn’t build but you have taken it. The help churches are giving, if you start taxing they will stop and you will see the headache on the nation.” Watch video here
