Erik ten Hag Slams Cristiano Ronaldo’s Decision to Leave Stadium Early in Manchester United’s Preseason Game

Cristiano Ronaldo’s rocky relationship with Manchester United is set to continue after Erik ten Hag criticised his decision to leave the stadium early. Ronaldo played a part in Manchester United’s final preseason game against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford but was pictured leaving the stadium before the final whistle.

Ten Hag replaced Ronaldo at halftime, with his substitute Amad Diallo scoring almost immediately after the restart in a game that ended in a one-all draw.
Now, as Metro UK reports, Ten Hag has taken issue with Ronaldo’s decision to leave the pitch early despite the club having released a statement clarifying that there was no problem. The new manager has, however, confirmed that it wasn’t only Ronaldo who left. The former Ajax boss said that he has told his players that he will not entertain such behaviour again
I certainly don’t condone this. This is not acceptable.
For everyone. I told them that it was unacceptable. We are a team, a squad, and you should stay until the end. Ronaldo has been involved in a transfer saga with United, with the renowned player looking to move on. He, however, hasn’t found a club and is now set to remain at United, who get their Premier League campaign underway against Brighton and Hove Albion.
