The role of the Church is to win souls for Christ – Socrate Safo

The director of creative art at the commission of on culture has explained his interpretation of the role that the church plays in society. 

He was speaking in an interview on Showbiz 927 on the activities of churches in modern society. 

While in conversation with the host, Mr. Safo clarified what he feels is the role that the church must play. 

He said during the interview that: “Personally I think the church is there to win souls for Christ. That is the only purpose.”

He went on to explain this role using the teaching of the Holy Bible to certify the point.  He explained that :”When God called his apostles he commissioned them. He said go and preach. And those who believe baptize them in the Holy Ghost.” 

Mr Safo took the time to distinguish that role from the other roles that modern churches sometimes take. He clarified that the difference is that the bible teaches the role that the church must play emphatically , saying: “What else are they supposed to do? That is what is in the bible. He told Apostle Peter that upon you I build my Church!”
