THE NATIONAL MUSEUM SHOULD BE ADDED TO YOUR LIST OF TOURIST SITES ” KOJO OPPONG NKRUMAH

Member of Parliament for the Ofoase- Ayirebi, who doubles as Minister for Information, Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has advised Ghanaians to add to their tour list, the National Museum in Accra.

The MP in a tweet today, 16 June, 2022 indicated “The National Museum in Accra should be added to your list of tourist sites to be visited”

He further explained that, the structure which was established in 1957, March 5, to commemorate Ghana’s Independence Day but had to be closed  for the past 7 years has been renovated with additional artefacts which makes it a wonderful sight to behold.

He added “the museum has now been fully rehabilitated and restored to its original state with the inclusion of additional exhibits and artefacts”.

The Gallery after its renovation was officially opened by the president of the Republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo who stated that, his government is committed to supporting and promoting the tourism sector to make it a global tourist destination.

The museum, located in Accra, Ghana is known to be the largest and oldest of all six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board.
