Okyeame Kwame refused to feature on the Give me Blow remix – Andy Dosty

The Legendary Disk Jockey and Radio Personality has said that Okyeame Kwame declined his request to feature on Asem’s “Give me Blow” remix.

Andy Dosty in an interview with Caleb Nii Boye spoke about the part he played during the making of Asem’s Give me Blow remix.

He stated how he had spoken to Richie about the reception the song received at an event he played it at. He said that from there he managed to get the Producer to give him the data for the song so they could work on a remix.

He then mentioned that the first person he approached for the feature was Okyeame Kwame but the ‘Rap Doctor’ refused to do the feature.

He said: “Okyeame Kwame was the first person I approached to do the feature for the song…but he refused.

He explained that Okyeame Kwame was worried the song’s profanity clashed with his own brand, saying: “Kwame listened to the song and he was like … ‘You know me I don’t wanna sing any profane song.’ I asked him what he meant he said ‘Listen to the song. Fa wu tw…It won’t work.  I have a brand to protect.”

He added that Okyeame Kwame was okay with him recording the song with his brothers Bradez, but only if the profanity was left, stating: “he (Kwame) heard me singing the song and he said I can do the song with the boys (Bradez)  but make sure you take that profane bit out of it. That’s the only way.”
