ILLEGAL STRUCTURES ON CSIR LAND PULLED DOWN AT FAFRAHA.

The devastating effects of the 2022 raining season has been one that has caused havoc and quite the scare among citizens in Ghana, especially in the city of Accra and Kumasi, with water totally submerging homes and destroying properties.

As part of efforts by the authorities to curb flooding in the capital, several structures on a 200 acre land have been pulled down at Frafraha, a surbarb of Adentan in the Greater Accra Region after the Greater Accra Regional Security Council gave a time line for encroachers to relocate from the area.

This exercise is undertaken by the various Municipal, District and Metropolitan Assemblies across Ghana as directed by the president.

Speaking to journalists during the exercise, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey, urged other encroachers on the remaining acres of land to regularise their documents claiming ownership of the property.
