Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ best song in music history – Kanye West

American music icon Kanye West called ‘Essence’, by Nigerian singer Wizkid, the current best song in music history. 

He made this known on Instagram through his page which has more than sixteen million followers.

“Best song in the history of music to date,” his caption read, accompanied by a picture of Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album cover art.

From the post, it’d appear multiple Grammy-winning rapper and producer, Ye, was streaming the original version of the song which has vocals from Tems and not the remix which has additional vocals from Justin Bieber.

At the time of this publication, the post has almost a million likes.

The Made In Lagos album which houses the Essence hit song, was nominated for the Best Global Music Album award during the 64th Grammy Awards event held on 4 April, 2022.
