Most Churches Don’t Understand The Music Business! – Nii Noi  Proclaims

The prominent talent manager told Caleb that churches do not enter the record label business because they do not understand that industry.

He was speaking to Caleb Nii Boye on Showbiz 927 about churches being the best body to take on a gospel artist as their record label.

And while he felt that was the only way he was quick to point out why that endeavor has failed.

In the interview he explained that “if the church invests in gospel artists they understand the gospel artist, they understand the Christian music ad what the artist can do. But the church will nit invest.

He argued that while most people might attribute the situation to “artists being ungrateful”, he said that the simple reason is rather that the church simply does not understand the music business to manage it effectively.

He said: “Most Churches run bookshops, and running a bookshop is something people can understand. Most Churches have restaurants and food vendors running successfully because they understand how to understand that. But they do not understand the record labelling business and that is what is making them fail.”

The church is the best record label for gospel artists – Talent Manager Nii Noi explains.

The talent manager has explained that only the church would understand how to function as record labels for gospel artists.

He attributed this to how they are the best to understand the music and the intention behind gospel music.

Speaking during an interview with Caleb Nii Boye on Showbiz 927, Nii Noi spoke about the church being the best body to invest in the gospel music scene.

He said: “The church understands the gospel and they are the best people to invest in and advise a well placed product of gospel music.”

He went on to point out that the church investing in music would be beneficial to the artist, stating that: “When you look at what pastor Chris did with Fela World Records, which has one of Africa’s biggest artists, you realize that it is not a secular record label but a church record label.”

He also added the combination between businesses minded record labels and gospel artists will conflict because of the drive for profit. He explained that: “That is why you have a business man pick up a gospel artist and it is difficult. It doesn’t last because there are profits that the business man wants to make that go against the artist’s beliefs.”
