INJUNCTION AGAINST BLACK SHERRIF DISMISSED IN COURT

The First Sermon hit maker has had an injunction case filed against him by his former manager dismissed in court.

An injunction was filed against Black Sherrif by his manager Shadrack Agyei Owusu on April 1st 2022.

The former manager accused the musician of signing a record deal with Empire Music without his consent, and pointed out that his client had neglected his investor after he had injected funds into the artist’s career.

The injunction filed against Sherrif demanded One million Ghana Cedis (GHc 1,000,000.) in damages for breach of contract, and also prevented the artist from performing his songs until after the court’s ruling.

The case, which was presided over at the High Court by Her Ladyship (Mrs) Justice Akua Sarpomaa Amoah, was dismissed because of the plaintiff’s inability to make a good case for the injunction.

Justice Amoah ruled that there was no evidence to challenge the fact that Black Sherrif was no longer bound by his contract to the plaintiff following it’s termination.

Mr Owusu has gone in to indicate that he will pursue a retrial following this development.
