I WONT SIGN AN ARTIST WHO HAS LEFT THE LABEL – RICHIE REJECTS ASEM COMEBACK

The Chief Executive Officer has played down any speculation of Lynx Entertainment resigning ASEM back onto the brand.

Richie Mensah was a guest on the 3FM Showbiz 927 with Caleb Nii Boi to talk about a number of things regarding the Lynx brand.

Among the topics that came up was a discussion about Ghanaian rapper ASEM, which inevitably led to Caleb asking if there was the possibility of the rapper resigning with Lynx.

“I don’t think I ever want to sign an artist who has left the brand” Richie would say with the upmost confidence during the interview.

He explained that the Lynx brand is a place to grow talent and kickstart careers, adding that when an artist moves on he wouldn’t want to restart that process through a comeback.

He said “I think that Lynx is an opportunity. I help grow talent. Which is why I always like to start from the ground up. When somebody gets that opportunity and they move on, I don’t want to restart.”

Richie would also tell the host that his stance is a policy he believes in, saying that: “It’s not just about an artist who has left. If you mention every Lynx artist, we started from when nobody knew them to making them somebody. It’s just the police I believe in. I like to believe we are a discovery channel.”
