Asamoah Gyan Shockingly Misses Out on Former Manager Steve Bruce’s Best 18 Players

Asamoah Gyan has been snubbed by former manager Steve Bruce after naming the top eighteen player he coached without the Ghanaian legend. The former Ghana captain was Sunderland’s star in 2010 when Steve Bruce was manager of the Black Cats.

Despite carving a cult hero status in the eyes of the Sunderland fans, he could not impress Steve Bruce enough to make his team. Meanwhile, his former Ghana teammate, John Mensah made the list after playing for two season under the English manager. Mensah, first arrived at the Stadium of Light on loan from Lyon in 2009, and spent two season in England.
