Andy Dosty is a Legend. We haven’t celebrated him enough – Arnold Asamoah Baidoo
Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has certified Andy Dosty as a legend in the industry but has pointed out how he isn’t celebrated enough.
The popular entertainment pundit was on call during an interview with Andy Dosty with Caleb Nii Boye.
He lauded Andy for his achievements in the industry as well as how long he had stayed in the business, saying: “There is no dispute of Andy’s Legendary status. In all aspects of his professional life he has attained his stripes to him being a legend. Andy has been there since way way back. He’s one of the Pioneers of Hip life and he’s still here. The longevity and the relevance is still intact.”
But he was quick to point out that Andy was not getting the reception he deserved from those currently in the system.
He said: “Most of those following entertainers are young.” Arnold said. “They were not in the system 10 years ago, 20 years ago. So they really do not know the experts like Andy Dosty and Abeiku Santana.”
He even pointed Out some of the ways people disrespect the legend, saying: “You actually see people disrespecting the likes of Andy Dosty on Social Media, trolling then left and right because they do not recognize their achievements.”
And he would place the responsibility for that on entertainment journalists and pundits, making it clear that: “We the fans, we the pundits and the entertainment journalists are the ones who must bestow on him the legendary status. If we who have been in the system for a long time celebrate and talk about them they (the youngsters) will get it. Once we talk about them and the things they have done over the years they will get it.”
